Macransa developed freshness maintenance equipment to keep flowers, fruits, vegetables, meat, and seafood fresh for a long time. Moreover, the company opened a freshness maintenance research laboratory on the premises of Kobe Central Wholesale Market East Division and installed an ordinary temperature room, 11 small icebox-type freshness maintainers, and 3 prefab freshness maintenance refrigerators (4.95 m3) to collect data simultaneously under 15 different conditions. A photo booth was also installed for the conduct of joint research with Mie University and Osaka University through image analysis. The equipment was featured by many media, including the NHK TV programs Ariyoshi no Okane Hakken Totsugeki! Kaneo-kun, Gaia no Yoake, and Oshietemorau Mae to Ato, which created a great sensation.
Our freshness maintenance equipment has the following features:
1. Free water in cells changes to bound water with a beads-on-a-string structure, which reduces the evaporation of water and prevents the loss of moisture.
2.Free water needed for the increase of unwanted bacteria can be reduced, which leads to an antiseptic effect.
3. Low-temperature damage is reduced even in storage at 1℃, which enables long-term storage (excluding some tropical products).
4.Purchases are possible before market prices rise due to special events, which reduces purchase prices to 1/4 to 1/8 of the rising prices.
5.Because chrysanthemums used for funeral service can be kept in bloom longer, disposal loss is greatly reduced.
6.Macransa freshness maintenance equipment is available in different forms ranging from ultra-small devices that can be put in florist buckets or vases to refrigerators, showcases, prefab refrigerators, and large size refrigerated warehouses.
7.When the equipment is used at the time of freezing or thawing frozen foods, dripping is significantly reduced. Even if it is only used for thawing ready-made frozen meals, dripping is reduced, as well.
